Jamaican Jerk Chicken

Jerk Chicken Recipe

  1. In medium non-metallic bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, white wine vinegar, orange juice, lime juice and Jamaican Jerk BBQ.
  2. Add chicken breasts; mix well to coat evenly. Cover chicken and refrigerate at least one hour.
  3. Bake or grill chicken as preferred.
  4. Reduce leftover marinade by first bringing it to a boil, and then simmering for at least 10 min. Pour over cooked chicken.
  5. This marinade can also be used for pork, lamb, beef, shrimp or any of your favorite grilled meats.

  1. Heads up, people! This recipe calls for chicken breasts, but your photo is of chicken legs. My problem: I bought this spice to give to a friend, but she dislikes chicken legs. I was going to forward this recipe to her, but when I saw the legs I knew she would have a negative reaction. Your photos should represent the recipe!!! I’ve never before seen a photo that so totally was obviously not the recipe. Please get it together!!

    1. Hi Victoria. We will add fixing this photo to our list of food photography shots. But have no fear, you can totally use chicken breasts. Don’t let your friend be turned off by the photo. We encourage everyone to use a recipe as a reference, but to make a dish to their taste. Here are some other recipes using the Jamaican Jerk Chicken spice she might like.

      Jamaican Jerk Pulled Pork
      Combine 2 lbs pork shoulder, 3 T blend & 1 cup chicken broth in slow cooker; cook on low for 6-8 hours; shred & serve on toasted buns.

      BBQ Hot Wings
      Toss 2 lbs wings with 3 T olive oil , 3 Tbsp Honey, & 3 T blend. Spread on prepared baking pan, cover with foil and roast in 400F for 35-45 min.

      Jamaican Jerk Burgers
      Combine 2 T blend, 2 T lime juice & 2 T soy sauce; mix into 1 lb ground beef or pork; form into patties & grill.
