TIPS & QUICK RECIPES

  • To create a marinade with medium heat for chicken, lamb or seafood – combine equal parts Punjab Red Tandoori, yogurt and lemon juice; serve with Basmati rice for an authentic Indian meal.
  • For grilling or roasting, use 1 Tbsp per lb of meat.
  • To add flavor to rice dishes and sauces, add 2 tsp per cup.

Tandoori Chicken
Remove skin from 2-1/2 lbs chicken thighs & score pieces; place chicken & 2 T lemon juice in plastic bag, seal & marinade 20 min; combine 4 T blend with 2 cups whole milk yogurt; add to chicken, turn to coat & refrigerate 1 hour.  Bring chicken to room temp; remove from sauce & bake at 400F for 40-50 min.

Tandoori Tomato Dip
Combine 8 oz whipped cream cheese, 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes, 1 T chopped cilantro & 1/2 tsp blend; serve with veggies or crackers.

Spicy Orange Chicken Wings
Combine 3 T blend & 3 T thawed orange juice concentrate; add 2 lbs chicken wings; cover & refrigerate 2 hours.  Place wings on foiled baking sheets & roast in 375F oven for 30-35 min, flipping halfway through cooking.

Tandoori Swordfish
Whisk together 1 cup Greek yogurt, 2 T grated ginger, 1 T minced garlic, 2 T lemon juice & 1 T blend; add 1 lb swordfish filets & marinade for 30 min.  Remove from marinade & grill over high heat for 4 min per side.

Spicy Avocado Relish
Combine 2 diced ripe avocados, juice of 1 lime, 1 T blend, 1/4 cup diced red onion, 1 diced tomato & 1-2 T diced cilantro; stir & serve as relish to pork, chicken or fish
