mesquite steakhouse chili seasoning

Round up a bunch for this mildly spicy & smoky bowl. Our Mesquite Steakhouse Chili Starter Seasoning is a savory blend of paprika, cayenne pepper, coriander, red pepper and other spices for a chili fit for a cowboy (and his posse). Great with steak or ground beef.

  • 2 lbs lean beef – chuck or round steak (cubed or ground)
  • 2 slices bacon, cut crosswise into 1/4-inch pieces
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
  • 1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 2-1/2 cups water

In a dutch oven over high heat cook meat until browned. Drain and set aside.

Reduce heat to medium and add bacon. Cook until just beginning to brown, about 4 minutes. Add onion and saute until translucent. Add meat, seasoning packet and tomato paste, stirring until well combined. Add in tomatoes and water. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes or until meat is tender.

Makes 8 1-cup servings.

We made chili last night using Mesquite Steakhouse Chili seasoning. It turn out great. The flavoring hit the spot in our house. It was not bland yet mildly spicy as it states on your package. We will definitely be using your seasoning again.
