Okie-dokie Poke!

thai chili salmon poke

Poke has been around for centuries as a Hawaiian staple. It’s seasoned and cubed raw fish, typically as a “poke bowl” over rice with various toppings – think of it as deconstructed sushi!

Poke bowls have become super trendy as restaurants on the mainland have added them to menus. It’s no wonder – they’re flavorful, healthy, and endlessly customizable. We decided to try some DIY poke with a few of our Taco Simmer Sauces – Korean BBQ and Thai Chili flavors – they worked perfectly to marinate the fish! So easy, too!

You will need high-quality, sashimi-grade fish. Be kind to the earth and choose sustainable wild caught fish, please! We tested with tuna and salmon.

With a sharp knife, slice fillet into ½” cubes. Place into a bowl and pour ¼ cup Korean BBQ or Thai Chili Taco Simmer Sauce. Cover and refrigerate for 30-60 min.

Vegetarian? Tofu works just as well!
