Smoothie Bowls are a fantastic way to boost your usual smoothie into full-on meal territory. Our recipes use fruit grilled with our Fruit Griller Seasoning Blends which lend the finished product a depth of flavor often lacking in regular smoothies. Bonus: this is an excellent use of grilled fruit left over from last weekend’s cook out!
While creating a gorgeous Grilled Fruit Smoothie Bowl is simple (make a smoothie, pour it into a bowl, and add toppings), there are some tricks to getting it just right.
Tip #1 – The best way to make sure your bowl looks fabulous is to make your smoothie extra thick by adding ultra-nutritious ingredients like avocado or greek yogurt when blending. This not only adds nutritious fat and protein to your meal, but it will also keep the toppings from sinking to the bottom of the bowl (not elegant).
Tip #2 – Don’t forget to save some of the fruit for the topping! You might be surprised how easy it is to forget and through in your whole kiwi or mango! Believe us, we’ve done it.
Tip #3 – Get adventurous with your toppings! This is the fun part. Now is the time to experiment with an new ingredient you’ve been wanting to try. Go a little nuts with textures and dig in!
