Kansas City Ribs
rub spice onto both sides of pork ribs; cover & refrigerate several hours; then grill slowly over med heat until done
Roasted Sweet Potato Wedges
combine spice with brown sugar; sprinkle over sweet potato wedges; spread in single layer on baking sheet and roast until done
Pork Chops
rub spice onto both sides of thick pork chops; cover & refrigerate 3 hours; bring to room temp and grill over med-high heat until done



Fast and Flavorful tips...

  • Sprinkle Kansas City Classic Rub on all sides of ribs, chops and roasts; massage into meat.
  • For a more robust flavor, sprinkle on all sides of meat, then refrigerate for a few hours to let the rub penetrate; then cook.
  • Mix with brown sugar and sprinkle on sweet potato wedges -- either grill or bake.
  • Sprinkle on steaks to add a sweet and slightly spicy touch of flavor.
  • Stir into sauces and gravies to add a touch of smoky BBQ flavor.

I purchased this last Christmas for my husband, "the chef".  This was his favorite spice blend & he used it in many sauces & gravies that he "personalized".  It's very versatile - don't limit it to cuts of meat.  He's getting this again this Christmas, along with several other Urban Accents blends.  I'm sure they will be just as flavorful & creative!

We use a lot.  What happened to the larger 13 oz size??  We'll have to change to a local spice if you don't have it.
