Mulled Cider - Fill mulling ball with mulling spice and place into a large stockpot filled with 1/2 gallon of apple cider.
- Over medium heat, bring liquid to just below boiling.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Mulled Wine - Replace cider in above recipe with red wine; add 1 cup orange juice and 1/4 cup sugar (optional).
Cinnamon, orange peel, lemon peel, cranberry, vanilla extract, orange oil, star anise, cardamom and cloves.
