Ingredients:
4 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 large onion, minced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 small jalapeno pepper, seeded & minced
1 tsp
Urban Accents Kashmir Garam Masala1 tsp fresh ginger, finely grated
1/2 tsp salt
1-3/4 cups
Urban Accents Raj Baby Basmati 4 cups chicken broth
1/2 cup toasted almonds, slivered
1/2 cup golden raisins
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Heat oil in medium ovenproof pot over medium-high heat; add onions and saute until translucent. Add garlic, jalapeno, Kashmir Garam Masala, ginger, and salt. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add rice and cook over low heat for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add broth and simmer uncovered, for 6-8 minutes.
Cover pot and bake for 20-30 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed. Remove from oven and let stand 15 minutes covered before serving. When ready, sprinkle with almonds and raisins and enjoy!
