Ingredients:

4 pork loin chops, cut 1" thick, about 1/2 lb each
2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 lemon
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup ketchup
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1-1/2 tsp Urban Accents Charleston Char

Directions:

To make the barbecue sauce:  In large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and saute onion and garlic until soft and lightly browned, about 4-5 minutes.  Grate the zest from the lemon and squeeze the juice.  Add lemon zest, half the lemon juice, brown sugar, vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and Charleston Char to the onion mixture; simmer gently for 5 minutes. Salt & pepper to taste and let cool.

Preheat grill to medium-high.  Brush pork chops with cooled barbecue sauce. Grill pork chops, basting often for 5-7 minutes. Turn over and continue grilling and basting until the chops are done, approx. 5-7 minutes longer.
