Cranberry Relish with Toasted Nuts
Added crunch, plus a little orange, gives this traditional holiday side a whole new personality!

Ingredients:

1 orange, juiced and zested 
1/2 cup port wine
1/2 cup sugar
Urban Accents Cranberry Cravings
1 12-oz bag fresh cranberries*
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, toasted


Directions:

In small saucepan, combine orange juice and zest, port, sugar and Cranberry Cravings seasonings; bring to boil.  Stir in cranberries and simmer until saucy and cranberries have popped, 10 to 15 minutes.  While cranberries are simmering, place nuts in small skillet and heat over low heat just until nuts are slightly toasted and frequent.  Fold toasted nuts into cooked sauce.  Cool to room temperature and serve. 

*If using frozen cranberries, do not thaw; just add about 2 to 4 minutes to simmering time.
